Goodbye

Seems that goodbyes have been a large part of our lives this month.

Yesterday morning my grandmother passed away.
The girls and I are making a very quick trip to the east side of the state to say goodbye.

So sorry about your Grandmother. We'll be praying for all of you. We are so looking forward to catching up just a little on the 16th of July!

Know that we feel your loss in being in the states with everyone else calling it home but knowing in your heart that you are missing a place that You still call home in Jos.

Time doesn't make it less home - you just begin to say "our other home" or "our home in Africa". Your heart only mends a little...like putting duct tape on a huge gash.

Jesus is sufficient.

Love,
The Blacks

Was checking out the blogs from Nigeria as I think about starting my own and found yours.

Sorry to read about Grandma, but hope your journey went well.

A special greeting to Lauren.

Julie, as I read through your blog entries, I give thanks for your ministries in Jos and at Hillcrest. May God continue to use you and your family to touch the lives of so many.
